I will stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote next month's bout.

Ex twice world heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the novice is still one of the sport's largest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As both boxers met for the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
